My name is Nicole! I'm the Orange County Portrait Photographer behind the lens at Chasing Poppies Photography. Thats me over there however I have moved on from that glamorous bowl cut. I hope I get to meet you in my in-home studio in Newport Beach, California.

I put countless hours in to the creation of the Chasing Poppies White Studio. I wanted a clean and bright space to create timeless photos of your pregnancy, newborn, growing kiddos and family.

If you’re looking for a maternity, newborn, cake smash or family photographer who likes to balance ease with artistry, I just might be the photographer you’re looking for. I bring years of experience, a calm presence and a love for creating images that your family will love for generations.

My Session Style

As an family photographer in Orange County

I like to create a laid-back and playful, where kids feel like they’re just having fun and parents can feel comfortable. I really take time to read each child before our session begins, getting a feel for their unique personality. Some little ones thrive in a calm, quiet space and need a little more time to warm up, while other kiddos light up with music and silly games. I always do my best to tailor the vibe the fit them because I’ve found the best way to get authentic photos is to make everyone feel comfortable. My goal is for every child to leave our session feeling like they had fun and want to come back!

Whether its for my portrait sessions or my newborn sessions, my editing style is clean and timeless. You won’t find overly trendy filters or heavy retouching in my photos. I aim for a classic feel that never goes out of style. I want you to be able to hang your portraits on your walls for years without them looking dated.

I chose the name Chasing Poppies because, to me, it represents photographing childhood as it runs ahead, wonder-filled, delicate, and always on the edge of change. I capture children while they’re still blooming, telling the story of who they are in this fleeting moment before it becomes a memory.
